Am I? Could it be true??
Am I the first to post in the Big Red section?!?! I had 2 Big Reds, A 1984 200es and a 1985 250es. Due to money problems I sold the 200es last week and I didn't really want to sell it but you know how it goes. I have a 2005 Rincon and the wife has a 2004 Recon so we don't ride the ATC's anymore much anyways. The 250es is a keeper and I will NOT sell it because I have had it since 1986 when I bought it Almost new. It still runs flawless and looks pretty good if I must say so myself. It's all stock, right down to the original plastic. The only things not factory on it are the box on the front and I don't believe it came with the Mountain Dew.......

Re: Am I? Could it be true??
Wow, those things look new!
Actually, when I created the "Big Red" forum, I was thinking about the SxS aka Hippo. But these are definitely Big Reds, so it's all good!

Re: Am I? Could it be true??
Oops, Sorry dude. If you wanna delete it.....no hard feelings. Seeing as the new SxS is outta my budget these are the only Big Red's I will ever know probably.

I agree with Bryan05, Don't delete it. This is EXACTLY why I bought a Honda.

Re: Am I? Could it be true??
Nice looking trike. Last time I saw a BR it was behind a barn under an old tarp and was a mess. Good to see someone keeps his looking sharp.
At least we have SOMETHING posted in the BR section now. LOL. I do not think we will see much posted here. Buyers of the new BR will likely be farmers and land caretakers, and not much interested in, or have the time for, forums.

Re: Am I? Could it be true??
Exactly, there has been NO Hippo activity in here, so the ATCs have taken over. Use it or lose it! haha

Re: Am I? Could it be true??
lol, There wouldn't be any Hippo activity, because theres no such thing.
Wasn't the Honda Hippo a Dirt Wheel's April Fools joke a couple years ago and totally unrelated to the Big Red SxS? The Hipppo was supposed to be a 1200CC beast with all these toys that honda would never use.

Re: Am I? Could it be true??
I dunno... I'd heard the name "Hippo" somewhere, and when I actually saw the SxS and sat in it, I figured it looked enough like a hippo so that's what I continued to call it. If you have the Dirt Wheels pic, maybe you can scan it as I don't think I've seen it.
I'd never buy one as it's too wide for me, but it looks to be quite well built. Car-like doors and sills, etc.

Very nice trike, haven't seen one that clean since 87. Honda's MUV was definitely made for the safety - agriculture use.

Re: Am I? Could it be true??
I just went through the General Tech posts, and moved a pile of threads into their proper forums. So unfortunately, this thread is no longer the "first" ATC thread. lol
I did create a new forum for the Big Red SxS though, just in case.
